Wings of Peace Airliners/Open Theme Contest

The Wings of Peace Airliners/Open Theme Contest is now open to entries. Entries and prizes will be posted when they become available. General Contest Rules are listed below.

 

GENERAL CONTEST RULES

1) Contests are open to any civil aircraft from the between-the-wars period. Unarmed military aircraft in civil markings are eligible (for example: the Armstrong Whitworth Siskin or any of the many World War I aircraft used in the civil market after the war), as are racers.

2) Contest models can be kit or scratch built, of any scale, and built of any material. Static or flying models may be entered.

3) Models constructed during the contest may be entered. Models begun, but not finished, prior to the start of the contest may be entered. Models entered that do not meet these conditions, unfortunately, will be disqualified from the contest; but the photos may be included in the Wings of Peace Gallery at the request of the builder.

4) Multiple entries are permitted.

5) A maximum of six photos of each model may be submitted for the contest. At least one shot of the overall model is recommended, as well as detail photos.

6) Contests are open to all current Wings of Peace members and those joining the Wings of Peace Yahoo Group during a contest.

Note: All model photographs will be added to the gallery at the conclusion of the contest. Additional photographs of the model, including construction photos, are desired and will be added to the gallery at that time but may be submitted with contest photos. Please specify which photos are to be used for contest purposes.

JUDGING AND PRIZES

Models will be judged by popular vote by e-ballot at the conclusion of the contest. An e-ballot is made available online when the voting period begins. The winner with the most votes gets to choose a prize first; the winner with the second highest number of votes chooses second, followed by the third and fourth place winners.

Wings of Peace hosts contests on a regular basis. Contests are themed and non-themed.

- Going Postal - Ends at midnight, June 30, 2013
